Organized by Taylor Otwell, the brilliant mind behind Laravel, this Laravel expert’s event guarantees an unrivaled experience. The first event took place in the vibrant city of New York, and to the cultural hubs of London and Amsterdam, Laracon has brought together the best and brightest from across the globe.
The Laracon India was held in Ahmedabad in 2023 which was hosted by our CTO, Vishal Rajpurohit, and it had over 1200 attendees.

The most recent Laracon US took place in Nashville on July 19th and 20th, 2023. While Nashville is commonly known as the country music capital of the world, it is also making a name for itself as a thriving tech hub. The city’s vibrant metropolitan atmosphere adds a unique flair to the technology industry.
At the event, all the attendees participated in unique competitions which included collecting stamps from different sponsor’s booths.
To win the competition, winners had to submit a passport with at least 6 stamps. At the end of the 2nd day, the lucky draw announced the winners and the prizes won by them were MacBook Air 2, Apple Airbuds, Oculus, Laravel Elephants and much more.
The “Laracon After Dark” event, held the day after the dark party, was an absolute blast. Starting at 7:30 pm. Attendees were treated to delicious food, refreshing drinks, and lively music by Brassfield.
Laracon US 2023 After event drew in over 400 people, creating an electrifying atmosphere filled with like-minded individuals. Conversations flowed, connections were made, and new friendships blossomed, making it a night of celebration and camaraderie. But the excitement didn’t end there.
On the second day after the party, attendees were treated to another thrilling event – Drinks and networking. The talented Nick Alligood & The Blackout serenaded the crowd, setting the stage for an evening of mingling and getting to know fellow conference-goers.

Pest- 2 Summer of Spice – Exploring the latest features of Pest testing framework.
First up was Nuno on stage announcing Pest’s “Spicy Summer” release. Nuno Maduro captivated the audience by exploring the latest features of the Pest testing framework. As the creator of Pest, Nuno unveiled the exciting additions that came with the framework’s “Spicy Summer” release.
Notably, he highlighted the expectation of globals not being called and the usefulness of architectural tests. Nuno’s talk left the attendees inspired and informed about the advancements in the Pest testing framework.
“The Curse of Knowledge” – Discussing the challenges of sharing knowledge effectively.
Zuzana Kunckove delivered an insightful talk at Laracon US 2023, focusing on “The Curse of Knowledge” and the challenges it presents in effectively sharing knowledge. She highlighted the difficulties individuals face when trying to communicate information to others who may not possess the same level of expertise or understanding.

Joel Clermont: “Getting Unstuck” – Joel Clermont’s talk offered valuable strategies to overcome development roadblocks. Titled “How to Get Unstuck,” Joel’s presentation provided problem-solving techniques that resonated with the audience. By emphasizing the importance of simplifying problems and eliminating layers of abstraction, Joel equipped developers with the tools needed to navigate through obstacles.
He even introduced the concept of “rubber ducking,” a technique in which developers explain their code to an inanimate object to gain clarity and solve problems. Joel’s talk left attendees feeling empowered to tackle any development challenge that comes their way.

Taylor also shares news about a brand-new product, developed by Beyond code.

Among these exciting additions, Caleb introduced network requests bundled together, enabling developers to streamline their code even further. He also highlighted the use of PHP attributes, such as #[Locked], which allows for attribute customization and flexibility. Additionally, Caleb discussed live reloading and time travel, among many other exciting features that Livewire 3 brings to the table.
“Enjoying Laravel Data” – Tips for leveraging Laravel’s data capabilities.
Freek Van der Herten, a well-known figure in the Laravel community took the stage to share his expertise on “Enjoying Laravel Data.”By utilizing these objects, developers gain the advantage of typing, ensuring greater code accuracy and efficiency. Freek also introduced the concept of rule validation using PHP attributes like #[Rule], allowing developers to enforce specific validation rules, such as #[Email].
Another exciting tool Freek highlighted was the artisan typescript:transform command, which scans your application for data objects and automatically generates TypeScript definitions, making frontend development a breeze. Freek also discussed the usage of #[DataCollectionOf(SomeOtherDataClass::class)] for nested data objects, showcasing how Laravel’s data capabilities can be harnessed to their full potential.
