A brief explanation of laracon us

Laracon is the ultimate gathering for all Laravel developers and techno enthusiasts alike. This two-day conference is a Laravel expert event, designed for individuals who are eager to expand their knowledge of Laravel and related technologies.

From groundbreaking talks by industry leaders to networking opportunities, this is an event that shouldn’t be missed.

Organized by Taylor Otwell, the brilliant mind behind Laravel, this Laravel expert’s event guarantees an unrivaled experience. The first event took place in the vibrant city of New York, and to the cultural hubs of London and Amsterdam, Laracon has brought together the best and brightest from across the globe.

The Laracon India was held in Ahmedabad in 2023 which was hosted by our CTO, Vishal Rajpurohit, and it had over 1200 attendees.

The most recent Laracon US took place in Nashville on July 19th and 20th, 2023. While Nashville is commonly known as the country music capital of the world, it is also making a name for itself as a thriving tech hub. The city’s vibrant metropolitan atmosphere adds a unique flair to the technology industry.

At the event, all the attendees participated in unique competitions which included collecting stamps from different sponsor’s booths.

To win the competition, winners had to submit a passport with at least 6 stamps. At the end of the 2nd day, the lucky draw announced the winners and the prizes won by them were MacBook Air 2, Apple Airbuds, Oculus, Laravel Elephants and much more.

The “Laracon After Dark” event, held the day after the dark party, was an absolute blast. Starting at 7:30 pm. Attendees were treated to delicious food, refreshing drinks, and lively music by Brassfield.

Laracon US 2023 After event drew in over 400 people, creating an electrifying atmosphere filled with like-minded individuals. Conversations flowed, connections were made, and new friendships blossomed, making it a night of celebration and camaraderie. But the excitement didn’t end there.

On the second day after the party, attendees were treated to another thrilling event – Drinks and networking. The talented Nick Alligood & The Blackout serenaded the crowd, setting the stage for an evening of mingling and getting to know fellow conference-goers.

What is laracon?

Laracon is the official Laravel conference, a two-day event for people who are interested in learning Laravel and related technologies, or who want to share their knowledge with others. Laracon is organized by Taylor Otwell, the creator of Laravel.

The first Laracon was held in New York City. Since then, Laracon has been held in a variety of cities around the world, including San Francisco, London, and Amsterdam.

The most recent Laravel Event was held in Ahmedabad, India in 2023 which was hosted by our CTO, Vishal Rajpurohit, and it had over 1200 attendees.

Laracon US has grown significantly over the years. ViitorCloud has been associated with the Laracon since 2017, as our CTO, attended the Laracon EU and then Laracon US in 2019.
The event has also become more popular, with attendees from all over the world. And ViitorCloud is a proud community sponsor of Laracon Us 2023, along with the official partner of Laravel News.

We, as a technology company, are always looking for different ways to help our developers and we do that by organizing or participating in city-level Laravel meet-ups.

This gives us a chance to showcase our talented developers and the opportunity to learn from others as well.

DB GPT is the system that helps you to query your data in natural language. The objective of this project was to develop a system for data retrieval, transformation, and reporting with database connections, data extraction and output, and bar chart visualization.

The objective of DB GPT was to develop a robust and efficient system that connects to a database, retrieves data based on specified criteria, transforms the data, and provides output in the form of CSV and PDF files.

A personal chatbot is a personalized dialogue model which aims to replicate the conversational style of users.

The primary objective of our project is to build a dialog model that can effectively mimic the conversational patterns, language style, and tone of User 1, enabling the chatbot to engage in conversations with User 2 in a manner similar to User 1.

Winners of InnoViitor

After carefully evaluating all the projects, our esteemed judges have made their decision. Team 314 and Team Neural Architects secured the winning position, resulting in an exciting tie! On the other hand, Team Innov8ors secured the runner-up position for their outstanding performance. The InnoViitor event was an absolute blast! It was so successful and enjoyable that our CEO has decided to make it an annual tradition at ViitorCloud. From now on, every year, we will be organizing a hackathon 2023 under the name of InnoViitor Only.

What is a hackathon event?

A hackathon is a dynamic tech innovation event that typically lasts for a defined period, where individuals or teams come together to work on groundbreaking projects or solve specific challenges collaboratively. These events are designed to promote creativity, collaboration, and rapid problem-solving that inspires innovation. Participants are encouraged to think outside the box and develop innovative approaches to challenges.

Hackathons inspire a supportive and energetic environment that fosters learning, sharing of ideas, and showcasing skills. It’s an excellent opportunity for individuals to learn from one another and exchange ideas.

InnoViitor: an initiative on hackathon by ViitorCloud

So, to look back at the history, ViitorCloud Organized it’s very first Hackathon in 2019 which was for 24 hours.

ViitorCloud recently organized an exceptional in-house hackathon 2023 called “InnoViitor” centered around the theme “AI Challenge: Pioneering the Future with AI.” This event proved to be a resounding success, with ideas no one ever thought of before, and the solutions derived from them were unimaginable.

This event was the second edition in the history of ViitorCloud as a hackathon, and after looking at the success rate, we decided to organize InnoViitor every year.

With the enthusiastic participation of 8 teams, each comprising 4 members, for a 24-hour Development challenge to create groundbreaking AI projects.

The AI hackathon 2023 provided an ideal platform for our employees to explore their skills and ingenuity in the realm of AI. With access to a wide range of resources, including ViitorCloud’s advanced AI platform, cloud computing infrastructure and a team of experienced engineers, the team had everything they needed to go on a journey to build their innovative projects.

But it was also a challenging task for them as not every team knew all the aspects of AI, although they built projects covering all the criteria which also added a layer of knowledge to them.

Projects built during InnoViitor

Over the course of 24 hours, all the teams poured their efforts, ideas and sleep into creating real-life solutions to the real-world problems. Some of these projects were:

1. AI-powered web application” designed to empower users in their content creation journey.
2. User-friendly interface to simplify database interactions.
3. Personal chatbot which replicates the conversational style of user 1 when engaging with User 2.
4. The Personalized Learning Platform is designed to empower users in creating customized learning experiences for any topic of their choice.
5. A custom Large Language Model to generate answers and ensure the safety of user data by running on their local servers.
6. A system for data retrieval, transformation, and reporting with the following components.
7. An intelligent chatbot capable of processing uploaded PDFs and providing relevant question-answering capabilities.
8. An innovative chatbot UI for seamless interaction with databases.

Winners of the InnoViitor:

Each project built was amazing in its own way and some of the AI solutions were thought, executed and built in such an unthinkable way. And it was difficult to evaluate and select only one project as a winner, but our judges assessed all the projects based on their creativity, innovation, feasibility and execution.

Our panel of judges included Rohit Purohit, CEO of ViitorCloud, Vishal Patel, Vice President of Technology and Jay Vora, Managing Director of Serpent Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd.

The winning team had the privilege of having the project implemented for real-world problems, along with the cash prize. Team Neural Architects and Team 314 were on the winning spot, making it a tie! And Team Innov8ors secured their place as a runner-up.
